We, Dave and Cheryl Chapman, bought the Village Shop, Stanton St John in April, 2011, and ever since have thoroughly enjoyed running it.

It is a privilege continuing this traditional service to Stanton and neighbouring villages in the wider greenbelt area.  We appreciate our customers’ growing support and are optimistic about long term prospects for the shop. We are constantly making and planning ongoing improvements to ensure that the Village Shop fulfils its traditional role as the hub of village life and communication in Stanton St John, while remaining a helpful service to neighbouring greenbelt villages, such as Forest Hill, Beckley and Horton Cum Studley.

We are strong proponents for the greenbelt and like many of our customers; we would like to see it remain intact for future generations to enjoy.

We are constantly on the lookout for affordable, quality, local and convenient products to suit the diverse needs of our customers ranging from pensioner to professional. We are always willing to stock products our customers want and If we don’t have it, we’ll go out of our way to get it for you!
